Häagen-Daz, with the help of TBWA Germany, has launched a new experience campaign based on taste. Ice-cream flavored stamps.There are five senses to take advantage of. Yet most of the time only sight, and more rarely sound are explored.
Lost Experience
It seems that Experience Advertising is starting to take hold. The execs over at ABC have greenlit a new concept for the hit show Lost.People aren't happy just sitting and watching any more. They need to be part of the experience.
Experience Design
We at Midago often have to explain the relatively theoretical processes behind experience design and specifically what we do and how we do it. Recently Bill Buxton, a well-known creative force, authored an article about experience design versus traditional interface design.While Midago focuses more on using interactivity (i.e. new media, LCD displays, technology) in experience design, Buxton's product example given in his article illustrates the experience design process quite well. Now this could be interesting. MIT Advertising Labs points us to an android built in Korea that acts human, can talk, and can desplay emotion.In a larger sense, this is all part of designing an experience for the audience. What part in events will this take place in the near future?
